DoD's Ruling on CMMC Plus It's Interim Rule Effective November 30

The Department of Defense (DoD) has now provided its interim rule, that was published in the Federal Registrar on September 29, 2020.  It amends the DFARS requirements for the CMMC program.  It also sets new requirements for the DoD NIST SP 800-171 Assessment Methodology.  The interim rule becomes effective November 30, 2020 and will impact virtually all DoD Contractors and will require them to submit a NIST SP 800-171 self assessment to the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) plus provide a description of their System Security Plan (SSP) and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) indicating when they will achieve a 110 score.
